Nemaha Central and Jeff West Boys Golf Place Second and Third at 3A Regional Tournament

The Nemaha Central and Jefferson West boys golf teams placed second and third respectively at the 3A Regional Tournament hosted by Jeff West on Monday at Village Greens Golf Course. 

The Thunder finished with a team score of 376 while the Tigers posted a score of 378. Both teams finished behind Regional Champion Heritage Christian as they shot a 329 to win the tournament. 

Sabetha finished in fourth with a score of 380, and Marysville finished in sixth place with a score of 415 which was one stroke behind Rossville. 

Heritage Christian placed five of the top six individually with the lone exception being Jeff West's Samuel Brunton as he finished with an 86 which was good for fourth place. Colby Farrant finished in seventh place with an 89. 

The Thunder were led by Aidan Broxterman and Isaac Lueger who both shot an 91 which was good for a tie for ninth place while Carter Lutz finished with a 96 which tied for 14th place. 

Sabetha was led by Dalton Rokey and Roman Scoby who both shot a 92 which tied for 11th place while Matthew Whittaker shot a 96 which tied for 14th place. 

Marysville's top finish was from Mason Rader who shot a 97 which tied for 17th place.
