The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association have updated their rankings for the week of Jan 21st with plenty of area teams making some moves up the charts. 

Girls: Silver Lake vaults up a couple of spots as they are now #3 in Class 3A behind only Hesston and Halstead. Silver Lake defeated Hesston in last year's state title game. 

Doniphan West continuing their strong season taking part in the TVL tournament this week in Frankfort. Mustangs up to #7 in Class 2A. 

Centralia controlling their spot at #2 in 1A-I behind only Little River while Clifton-Clyde holds a spot inside the top-5 at #4. Troy also continuing to rise in the ranks as the Trojans are now up to #7 in 1A-I. 

Finally, different week and same spot for Hanover as they are the #1 ranked team in 1A-II. 

Boys: Atchison gets themselves into the top-5 this week at #5 in 4A as they continue to have a strong season against good competition. 

Nemaha Central's undefeated start has not gone unnoticed as the Thunder are now up to #6 in Class 3A while undefeated St. Marys joins them in the ranks at #8. 

Three teams in the lower half of the ranks in Class 2A with Maur Hill-Mount Academy #7, Rossville #8, and Valley Falls #9. 

Axtell continues to hold their spot in the ranks at #2 in 1A-II behind only Cunningham while Hanover continues to represent the TVL as they are up to #5.
