Sabetha Takes 2nd at Hayden Invite in Tennis Action

It was another successful performance as a team and individually for the Sabetha Bluejays girls tennis squad as they participated in the Topeka-Hayden Invite. The Bluejays yet again this season walked away with a second place finish as a team and two individual first place finishers.

In doubles competition it was Amy Wysong and Ellie Montgomery taking first place as they took down plenty of quality opponents, going 3-0 in the doubles number one competition of the day. Laeny Edelman and Jessica Romines in doubles competition number two, went 1-2, with a 8-3 win over Baldwin.

In singles competition, it was Kyla Parton highlighting the Bluejays performances thus far as she won another competition taking first place again this season, going 3-0 in competition to improve to 7-0 on the season. Jennifer Stallbaumer competed for the Bluejays in the singles competition number one on the day.

Coach Alicia Deters, says she is looking forward to seeing continued improvement and success in the next few weeks as the Bluejays will see a lot of tennis action in the coming weeks.
