Former Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven Harry Trotter announced Monday afternoon via his Twitter account that he has decided to transfer from the University of Louisville to Kansas State University as a preferred walk-on.

“Excited to announce that I will be tranferring to Kansas State University! #EMAW," Trotter's Twitter post said.

In a short exchange of text messages Trotter said he will redshirt this season and look to earn a scholarship heading into 2019.

Trotter announced last Friday via a Twitter post that he had made the decision to leave the Louisville football program noting, "I believe that this is part of God's plan for me and I look forward to the next chapter."

Trotter said his time at Louisville is something he will never forget, noting that his biggest memory from being a Cardinal was having the opportunity to play at home against Clemson this past season with ESPN College GameDay in town.

“That was my biggest memory because it was a blackout game and it was sold out,” Trotter said via text message. “60,000 plus fans, it was crazy. Didn’t come out with the win but definitely a memory.”

Trotter still has two years of eligibility left at the collegiate level, and will immediately be eligible at his next school.

He was a walk-on at Louisville and saw action as a back-up running back and on special teams last season, rushing for 27 yards on four carries.

Off the field, Trotter excelled in the classroom being named to the Atlantic Coast Conference honor roll with a 3.94 GPA.

Before Louisville Trotter attended Fort Scott Community College and was named one of the top 50 junior college running backs in the country after rushing for 503 yards and eight touchdowns.

Trotter graduated from Maur Hill-Mount Academy in 2016, and still holds the school record for rushing yards in a single game after rushing for 425 yards in a 62-20 win over ACCHS in 2015.
