Final tournament action in the regular season took place on Saturday in high school volleyball across Kansas and in Sabetha several area teams were in action. Nemaha Central and Holton led the area performances finishing second and fourth, respectively. 

Pool play started the day in Sabetha to get the tournament rolling. In the White pool the Nemaha Central finished first going 4-0 by beating Hiawatha, Pleasant Ridge, Holton and Wamego all in straight sets. Holton took second in the pool going 3-1 beating Wamego and Hiawatha in straight sets and Pleasant Ridge in three sets. Wamego tallied a 2-2 day beating both Hiawatha and Pleasant Ridge in straight sets, while Pleasant Ridge won a straight set contest against Hiawatha. 

In the Blue pool Concordia went 4-0 beating Sabetha and ACCHS in straight sets and Marysville and St. Mary's in three sets. St. Mary's claimed second in the pool with a 3-1 mark beating Sabetha, Marysville and ACCHS all in straight sets. Marysville closed the pool play 2-2 beating ACCHS and Sabetha both in straight sets, while ACCHS topped Sabetha in a three set affair in the pool. 

Moving into bracket play Nemaha Central took on St. Mary's in one Semifinal, while Holton faced off with Concordia and both matches were decided in straight sets. The Thunder earned the win over St. Mary's while Holton fell to Concordia. 

In the Championship match Concordia won the first set but Nemaha Central bounced back to take set two to force a third set but the Thunder fell in that set to finish second on the day. St. Mary's grabbed third beating Holton in straight sets in the third place match.
