Both Frankfort and Valley Falls entered week four of the high school football season with some struggles from their early season matchups looking to find consistency and their game against each other and on homecoming Frankfort put things together for the 52-6 win ending the game in the third quarter.

After a three and out by Valley Falls to open the game Frankfort hit their first big play of the game as Carson Schreiner busted a 64-yard touchdown run and with the two-point conversion led 8-0 with 8:38 left in the first quarter. The Dragons would then have a couple of opportunities that each ended inside the Wildcat 15-yard line without points as Valley Falls threw an interception in the endzone on a fourth and goal play from the 10 and also turned the ball over on downs on the 15-yard line. The next play after the turnover on downs Garret Dalinghaus took the ball 65-yards for a touchdown and made it 16-0 Frankfort with 2:33 left in the first quarter.

Frankfort found the endzone again early in the second quarter as Schreiner ran in a 47-yard touchdown and then Dalinghaus added a 10-yard touchdown run on a short field for the Wildcats making it 30-0. The lead continued to grow for Frankfort has Gavin Cornelison hit Schreiner for a 49-yard touchdown pass and Spencer Dressman punched it in for a one-yard touchdown run for the Wildcats to lead 44-0 late in the first half. Valley Falls busted off a pair of big runs by Carter Allen before the half including a 33-yard touchdown with 1:50 left in the first half and into halftime the game went with Frankfort leading 44-6.

Out of halftime Frankfort got the ball and had a short field after a failed Dragons onside kick attempt and the Wildcats finished the game with 8:26 in the third quarter on a 13-yard Dalinghaus touchdown run and Schreiner two-point conversion to win 52-6.

Frankfort in the win had Dalinghaus run for 150 yards on 14 carries with three touchdowns, while Schreiner had 127 yards on four carries with a pair of touchdowns and caught 49-yard touchdown pass from Cornelison. Schreinner also had an interception on defense and played strong in coverage earning him Community National Bank "Player to Bank On" honors on KMZA. The win moves Frankfort to 2-2 on the season.

The loss puts Valley Falls at 0-4 on the year and is their 12-straight loss dating back to last season. Allen led the Dragons on the night in the loss rushing for 90 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown while Tyler Lockhart was 6-21 for 116 yards with two interceptions.

Up next both teams will be in District play as Valley Falls travels to Rural Vista and Frankfort heads to Axtell (game will be on 92.1 KMZA) on Friday, September 29th.
