The Hanover Wildcat boys made it look easy for the second straight night as they cruise in the 1A-DI Semifinals topping Hartford 67-35 to punch their ticket to the State Championship.

Jumping out early was the story again for Hanover as the Wildcats rained in shots early and held down Hartford to lead 21-6 after the first quarter, while adding a 17-8 second quarter to hold a comfortable 38-14 advantage at the half. The Wildcats went on to dominate every facet of the game and cruise to the 67-35 win as they shot 57.8% from the floor and held Hartford to 29.3% and 0-14 from three-point range, while Hanover hit nine threes of their own and out rebounded Hartford 32-22.

Will and Andrew Bruna paced the Wildcats with 16 and 13 points each, while Will added eight assists to his final stat line and 10 different guys scored for Hanover. The win pushes Hanover to 24-1 on the season and into the State Championship for the first time since 2010 when they claimed the State title.

The Wildcats will hit the court on Saturday at 6:15pm in Emporia at White Auditorium and take on a familiar foe in fellow Twin Valley League team the Doniphan West Mustangs for the 1A-DI State title.
