Mound City Girls Win Conference Cross Country Title

(KLZA)-- The Mound City girls won the Highway 275 Conference Cross Country  Meet Tuesday at Tarkio. 

Panther junior Kendey Eaton won the race in a time of 21:44. Her sister, Joeigh Eaton a sophomore was second in a time of 23:27.  

Other Lady Panthers winning medals were Deanna Clayton 4th, Adrienne Messer, 6th, Jocelyn Clayton 10th, Lily Forehand 11th and Jessica Johnson 12th. 

Destiny Klosek of Tarkio was 3rd in a time of 23:38, Blair Broermann of Tarkio was 5th, Mariana Villigrana placed 7th for Tarkio and Melissa Lang was 16th. 

For Rock Port Jade Lemmon was 8th, Hannah Mace was 9th, Montana Martin was 13th and Shelby Brimmer was 15th. 

There are not enough boys teams to have a conference champion crowned.  Individually Seth Fletcher of Tarkio won the race in 19:03, followed by a pair of Rock Port runners, Ty Jones in 19:21, Trevor Holmes in 20:00.  Rock Port’s Ethan Miller placed  5th in 22:02.  

Luis Villigrana was 6th for Tarkio, Evan Elam of Rock Port was 7th and Nick Owens of the Indians was 10th.
