The "Claws Out Challenge" was the first collegiate volleyball tournament held in the Al Wheeler Activity Center in quite a number of years. And, it proved to be a great move for the Bobcat volleyball team as they finished the Challenge with a 4-0 mark.
With the four wins, Peru State has won seven in a row and moves to 11-6 on the season. The 'Cats have already exceeded their win total of last year as the Bobcats finished 10-23 in 2012.
Peru State will host a "Thousand Oaks" triangular next Friday, Sept. 20. The Bobcats will face Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) foe Central Methodist University at 1 p.m. This game, however, will not count as a conference match. Central Methodist will then face Clarke University (Iowa) at 3 p.m. Clarke and the Bobcats will square off at 5 p.m.
The following Tuesday, Sept. 24, Peru State will host their first HAAC game of the year when the Wildcats of Baker University (Kan.) visit the confines of the Al Wheeler Activity Center. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
