Last Thursday the Holton lady Wildcats looked to continue their solid start to the young golf season with another great performance and that they did taking third place as a team for the second straight competition, this time in the Shawnee Heights Invite.

Wildcats competed against five other teams and finished only seven strokes behind second place Hayden and 15 strokes behind the first place team Shawnee Heights.

The lady Wildcats were lead by senior, Kyrstie Miller lead the way once again notching an 87 to grab a fourth place finish on the day, while fellow senior, Sam Herring finished in the top 10, also shooting a round 96 to take home seventh place. Youngster sophomore, Anne Bowser continue to show early promise as she took home an 11th place finish after her round of 102 in the competition.

Junior, Hannah Deegan rounded out the team score for the Wildcats as she registered a round of 114, to place 24th on the day.

Sophomore, Quinn Holaday and junior, Paige DeLay also competed for the Wildcats tallying rounds of 122 and 129 good for 27th and 30th place on the day's competition.

The Wildcats have a long break ahead of them as their next scheduled action won't be until September 26th at Council Grove at 3:00pm.
