Holton Girls Golf Opens Season with Third Place at KC Piper Invite

Fall sports girls golf season got underway for the Holton lady Wildcats Tuesday (September 3rd) as they competed in the KC Piper Invitational against six other schools with teams and one more school with individual golfers.

The Wildcats started the season off with a great start tallying a third place finish in the competition behind a team score of 414, led by senior, Kyrstie Miller who shot an 89 on the day. Miller, who's coming back-to-back years of competing at state, notched second place individually in the competition with her round of 89.

Miller was joined by Anne Bowser, Sam Herring and Maddie Foster to compose the Wildcats team score on the day as they tallied rounds of 102, 107 and 116, respectively. Hannah Deegan, also competed on for the Wildcats in the Invitational and finished 126 round.

The Wildcats looking to have a strong year, started off the season on a great foot taking third and now turn their attention, too their next action at the Shawnee Heights Invite on Thursday (September 5th) at 3:00pm.
