Sabetha Legion Cruises Past Falls City in Four Innings

Solid pitching performances, key offense and taking advantage of 12 walks help Sabetha get a bit of revenge against Falls City from a lost in the Nebraska/Kansas Senior Legion Border Battle, as Sabetha won 11-1 on their home turf.

Both teams got on the board early with a run in the first inning each, but that is all the scoring Falls City would do registering only one hit after the first inning and only two total in the contest. Sabetha on the other hand put up five runs in the second, two in the third and ended the game in the fourth with three inning.

Keegan Schumann lead the Sabetha offensive attack going 3-3 on the night a homer shy of the cylce while scoring a pair of runs and tallying three RBI's. The other top performance by Sabetha came on the mound by Nolan Keim who pitched all four innings giving up just two hits and one run while striking out six.

With the win Sabetha improves to 24-11 on the season and turn around quickly to to take on Royal Valley in a double header tonight at 6:00 and 8:00pm at Somerset Park. Only game one will count in the league standings betwee the two teams.
