Axtell senior Brandon Schmelzle continues to dazzle for the #1 ranked Eagles as they look to capture their fourth consecutive state title.

In Axtell’s 76-30 win against Frankfort on Friday, which was the Eagles 47th straight win, Brandon rushed for 183 yards and five touchdowns. He also completed 13-of-14 passes for 171 yards and three more scores.

For the season, Brandon has rushed for 606 yards and a team leading 16 touchdowns. In the passing game, he’s completed 44-of-51 passes for 717 with 17 touchdowns and no interceptions.

Brandon is committed to play football next season at KU.
