Onaga Softball

The Onaga softball team won the Wabaunsee Regional Tournament last week and advanced to the Class 2-1A State Tournament for the first time in school history.

The Buffaloes beat Blue Valley 10-0 in the first round, following that was a 5-2 eight inning win over Valley Heights in the semifinals and then they defeated Mission Valley 3-2 in the Championship game. The win against Valley Heights was on a walk-off three-run home run.

Onaga heads to Pratt this week with a record of 19-4 and has a 10-game winning streak that dates back over a month. They will play Central Heights in the opening round on Thursday at 5:00 PM. The Buffaloes run at the State Tournament will be covered on 92.1 KMZA.
