RB Tweed

Jefferson County North’s RB Tweed was named the Class 1A Defensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas.

The Chargers went 11-2 and finished runner-up in the classification, making the State Championship game for the first time in school history.

Tweed, as a defensive lineman, posted a season with 63 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and four pass breakups. He’s tallied 110 career tackles, 30 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks over the last two seasons.

Tweed recently received an offer from Butler Community College to continue his athletic and academic career.

JCN head coach Jeff Schneider says that Tweed is a terrific, hard-working, and self-made player that created his success with work in the weight room.
