Sevy Wurtz

The Clifton Clyde girls basketball team continues their strong season and freshman Sevy Wurtz is a big part of the success.

Sevy is the Eagles leading scorer at nearly 14 points per game while averaging nearly five steals and four rebounds per game.

In the first game of the TVL Tournament against Wetmore on Saturday, Sevy scored 18 points to lead all scorers while shooting an efficient 8 of 11 from the floor while adding five steals and four assists. She added 14 points, four assists and three rebounds in another win last week over Washington County.

The Eagles are 10-0 and currently ranked #4 in 1A-I behind only Little River, Osborne, and Pretty Prairie. Clifton Clyde and Hanover are the only two remaining unbeaten teams in the TVL.

The Eagles will continue their play this week at the TVL Tournament hosted by Washington County.
