Matthew Garber

The Sabetha boys basketball team are off to an undefeated start and #3 ranking in Class 3A according to the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.

This past week saw the Bluejays gather wins on the road at Wamego and Royal Valley and senior guard Matthew Garber was a big reason why.  

In the 55-27 win at Wamego, Matthew went off for 26 points, three steals and three assists while hitting all nine of his free throw attempts.

In the 70-64 win at Royal Valley, Matthew scored 26 more points as he hit 4 of 8 three-point shots and 11 of 12 free throws.

Matthew is the Blujays leading scorer thru three games averaging over 19 points per game. He’s also nearly perfect from the free throw line as he’s hit 21 of his 23 attempts which is a 91% clip.

Matthew was a unanimous All-League selection in the Big 7 last year while leading the team in scoring, assists, steals and three pointers made.
