This past weekend, the Valley Falls boys took 4th at the 2A State Tournament in Manhattan and put together one of the best seasons in school history finishing with a 24-2 record.
Zac Evans stood out in MHK with big games for the Dragons. In the comeback win over St. Mary’s Colgan in the first round, Zac tallied 28 points and nine rebounds.
He followed that up the Semi-Final loss to St. Mary’s with double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. He closed out the tournament in the 3rd place game against Lyndon with 13 points and seven rebounds.
His three-game tournament average was 19.6 points per game along with 8.6 rebounds per game earning him a spot on the 2A All-Tournament Team by Sports in Kansas.
Zac averaged five points per game last season as a freshman and that number jumped to 14 points per game this season along with averaging seven rebounds, two assists, and nearly two steals per game.
