Avery Deters

Centralia punched their ticket to the 1A-I State Tournament by winning the Frankfort Sub-State this past weekend.

Avery was key in both the Semi-Final and Title games against Troy and Frankfort respectively.

In the Semi-Final win over Troy, Avery posted a monster double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Against Frankfort in the Title game, Avery tallied another near double-double with seven points and 10 rebounds.

She combined to hit 11 of 16 free throws in those two games. Avery is averaging nearly 13 points and more than eight rebounds per game this season and has started for the Panthers since her freshman season.

Avery was First Team All-League in the TVL as a junior last season and was part of the Volleyball team that earned third place at State this season.
