The Valley Heights girl’s basketball team has their sights set on a 2A State Championship. Cat Toerber has been a big reason for the Mustangs success.
The senior hit a total of 12 three’s in two wins last week against Clifton Clyde and Onaga. Against Clifton Clyde, Cat buried seven three’s and tallied 23 points while she hit five three’s for 15 points against Onaga.
Her seven three’s against Clifton Clyde was the most in a game in school history. Her 50 three’s made this season are the most for one season in school history and she continues to build on her 132 career made three’s which is also the most in school history.
On the season, Cat is averaging nearly 13 points per game as she hits 34% from three and 74% from the free throw line. The Mustangs are 17-2 and the number three ranked team in Class 2A according to KBCA.
