Grady Buessing

Axtell sophomore Grady Buessing has exceled in two sports during the fall sports season and he’s done it at a high level in both.
Buessing finished off his first year running cross country with a 10th place finish at the 1A Meet this past weekend with a personal best time of 17:23.
This was 18 seconds faster than his previous best time. He placed 2nd and the league meet and 3rd at the regional meet. His time improved by 1:09 since the beginning of the season.
Buessing has also excelled on the football team as his Eagles are 9-0 and ranked number one in the State in 8M-II with a regional playoff game on Friday against Hanover.
In the first round win last week over Beloit St. John’s-Tipton, Buessing caught two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. He has 18 catches with nine touchdowns this season averaging nearly 20 yards per catch.
Defensively he’s talled over 30 tackles with five and a half tackles for loss and an interception.
