Keegan Lott

After the 2020 track season was cancelled due to COVID-19, regionals last week was one of the first chances in almost two years that athletes had their chances to show what they could do on a big stage.

For ACCHS’ Keegan Lott he showed out at the 2A regional meet at Valley Heights qualifying for the state meet in two events and capturing regional titles in both the shot put and discus.

That came after an equally as impressive showing at the Northeast Kansas League meet where he swept both events again winning the discus by over 11 feet and the shot put by over a foot.

Not only did Lott make it two state in those two events but he has a true shot to finish in the top three in both with a good weekend as he heads into state as the favorite in the discus while ranking in the top four in the shot put.  

Lott will compete in Class 2A on Saturday this year in Wichita with field events scheduled to start the day with live updates throughout Saturday on the MSC Sports Radio Network.
