Saydee Tanking

Through five games of the 2019-20 high school basketball season the Holton girls are 4-1 with a win over 4A Atchison and just a loss to undefeated Sabetha.

On Tuesday night of last week, the Lady Cats continued to roll along with a 53-32 win over Perry Lecompton led by junior Saydee Tanking who racked up a game-high 17 points.

Tanking has been great all season long for Holton as the junior is averaging just over 13 points per game while yanking down eight boards, three assists and two steals a night.

Her scoring output Tuesday night was her highest of the season after she scored 16 in the Lady Cats season-opening win over Atchison.

She was a first-team all-Big 7 League selection last season and even earned an honorable mention all-league selection as a freshman.

Tanking is well on her way to earning another all-league selection this season as her and the Lady Cats will look to continue their success beginning Tuesday night hosting Jeff West.
