Frankfort's Dalinghaus Breaks Five School Records in Final Season

The 2019 season may have ended prematurely for the Frankfort football team suffering a 36-32 loss to Hanover last week in the regional championship but despite that it was a magical season which ended with five school records being shattered.

All five of those records were broken by Wildcat senior Garret Dalinghaus who was outstanding each and every night he took the field.

It ended Friday night with another outstanding performance as he carried the football 23 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns while recording one receiving score and 19 total tackles on defense.

That huge game allowed Dalinghaus to move into first place all-time at Frankfort High School in career rushing yards, career rushing touchdowns, single season rushing touchdowns, career scoring and career solo, assisted and total tackles.

He wrapped up his career with 3,447 rushing yards, 64 career rushing touchdowns, 27 rushing touchdowns this season, 324 points scored in his career and 350 total tackles.

Dalinghaus finished his final season with 1,257 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns while recording two receiving touchdowns and 101 total tackles with seven for loss and three sacks.

He was named a second-team all-Twin Valley League selection his junior campaign and has earned a likely first-team selection this season wrapping up one of the best careers in recent memory in Northeast Kansas.
