The high school cross country season ended Saturday with teams competing at their respective state tournaments and one area team claimed a state championship while several individuals earned medals.
One of the best individual performances came from Jackson Heights’ Daniel who did what he has done all season long and that finish the top five as he came in fourth in Class 2A.
Little was great in his sophomore season posting four wins while capturing the Northeast Kansas League and regional championships.
Last season he took third at the regional meet and ninth at state while posting two other third place finishes on the year.
Little will look to continue his early success in his career and improve his placing at the state meet and move towards his ultimate goal of winning a state title.
