The 2018-19 high school basketball season has been one of the best in Pleasant Ridge girls’ basketball history and got even better on Friday night as the Lady Rams wrapped up an outright Northeast Kansas League regular season title.

A major key to the success of the Lady Rams this season has been the play of senior Lindsey Heim who will finish her career as one of the best girls’ basketball players in Pleasant Ridge history.

Heim was strong once again last week in the Lady Rams two wins, as she opened up the week with a 16-point effort in a blow out of McLouth before following that up with 11 points on Friday in Pleasant Ridge’s league-clinching victory over Jeff County North.

On the season Heim is averaging just over 16 points per game and has quickly emerged as one of the top players around Northeast Kansas and with that recently committed to Bethal to continue her basketball career after high school.

She was named a first team all-NEKL selection a year ago, while she was also named a second team selection her sophomore campaign.

Heim will look to wrap up her senior season with a trip to the 3A State Tournament, as she has the Lady Rams into the semifinals of sub-state with a record of 19-2.
