Frankfort Wildcat, Emilee Ebert Leaping Into School Record Books
Emilee Ebert

Frankfort Wildcat sophomore, Emilee Ebert is leaping into the school record books this season setting a new school record mark twice this season in the long jump.

After a strong track campaign as a freshman that included a fourth place finish in 1A in the long jump and qualifying for State in the 200 meter dash, Ebert has continued to improve her performance in her sophomore year.

At the Riley County Invite last week Ebert recorded a leap of 17’05 breaking her own school record of 17’03.50, which she posted earlier in the year to beat the previous school record of 16’07.50 set back in 1996. The leap of 17’05 earned Emilee first place at the Riley County Invite, while she also took second in the 100 meter dash and was part of the Frankfort lady Wildcats 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams that each earned third place finishes.

On the year she has earned first place in the long jump four times and finished in the Top three of the 100 meter dash seven times with four first place finishes including her fastest time of 12.77 at the Silver Lake Invite. The Frankfort sophomore has also competed in the discus twice this season along with the relays throughout the year.

Looking to return to Wichita and the State competition Ebert strives to continue to improve and build upon her performances.
