Strahm and the Bluejays headed to Riley County over the weekend to compete at the Riley County Duals Tournament and while the team finished fifth out of six teams, Strahm enjoyed a dominate day going 5-0 on the mat at 285lbs. The Bluejay sophomore didn’t just win his matches he won them quickly claiming victory in under a minute each time and in 27 seconds or less in four of the five wins, notching pinfall victories in 19, 27, 27, 12 and 52 seconds. The wins came over three 4A schools competitors from Smoky Valley, Clay Center and Bonner Springs, another win over a 5A school competitor from Andover and also win against 3A host Riley County.
Sabetha wrestlers started the season in Topeka last week at the Hayden Dual picking up dual wins against Hayden and Atchison. Strahm registered two pinfall wins on that night also winning in 1:14 against a competitor from Hayden and snagged a pinfall win in 1:13 against a wrestler from Atchison.
