Blair Taylor

Taylor has gotten a significant boost in playing time for the Kansas City Roos this season. She has played in 61 sets and all 14 matches and has helped the Roos to an 11-3 overall record and a first place 2-0 in Summit League play.

Taylor leads the team in service aces with 21 averaging 0.37 per set. She is also third on the team in assists with 24.

The Raven alumni was a four-year starter at MHMA and was First Team All-NEKL all four years. She was the team’s captain her senior year and was a tremendous student acquiring accolades such as Kansas State Scholar, United Marine Corps Distinguised Athlete, President’s Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence and NEKL Academic Top 5.

She also played for the Mizuno Club North National team and won the 18U USA Northern Lights Qualifier.

UMKC head coach Christi Posey said, “Blair brings a level of energy and enthusiasm to any team for which she is competing. As a defender, she is fearless and selfless. As a teammate, she is communicative, dependable and coachable. A gifted student academically and a passionate student of the game, we will appreciate Blair's contributions on and off the court. An 'energizer bunny' type player, she embodies our relentless style of play and will fit nicely with our defensive schemes.”
