Roenne Set for Big 12 Championships for K-State Rowing
Neva Roenne

This week's "Blast from the Past" is Neva Roenne who continues her freshman season with the Kansas State University Rowing Team.

The Cats most recently came up short in the Sunflower Showdown as they lost to Kansas by a 15-7 point total. However, K-State won three of the five events including the third varsity 8+ which included Roenne but also included former Perry Lecompton Kaw Chloe Daniels.

They competed last month in Tennessee at the SIRA Championships and that same crew featuring Roenne and company took home the gold medal in the 3v8+.

K-State will be in Austin Texas on Sunday to compete in the Big 12 Championships.

Neva attended Jefferson West as she lettered in basketball and softball. She’s a two-time All-American dancer, competed in cross country, 4.0 Honor Roll, and was a part of FFA, 4-H, and STUCO.
