This week's "Blast from the Past" is Emilee Ebert of the Kansas State women's basketball team.
The former Frankfort Wildcat is off to a solid start this season. The 6’0 junior guard scored 16 points in the season opener against Central Arkansas and is averaging nearly seven points per game through the first four games as K-State is off to a 4-0 start.
Last season as a sophomore, Ebert was the only player on the team to start in all 27 games and played a team high and career high 31 minutes per game. She was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team and twice she’s been named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
Ebert is also sixth in program history for career assist/turnover ratio at 1.45.
She’s Frankfort’s all-time leading scorer with 1,648 career points and was named First Team All-League in the TVL all four years of her career. Ebert was also a McDonald’s All-American nominee after her senior season in 2018-2019.
In 2019, Ebert was the Class 1A State Champion in the long jump and was apart of the 4x100 meter relay team that set the state record with a time of 50.44.
