Making the transition from high school basketball to the college ranks is typically something that is not easy to do but for former Nemaha Central Thunder Alleigh Kramer the transition has seemed like a breeze.
Kramer is currently in her freshman season for the Benedictine College women and has made an impact from the jump competing in all 16 games for the Ravens averaging 6.6 points, 4.9 rebounds and two assists per game.
She has scored in double-figures already this season as she scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds in an 82-67 loss to Central Methodist on Nov. 28 and has recorded three steals four different times.
On the season Kramer is shooting 37.8 percent from the floor, 33 percent from 3-point range and 65 percent from the free throw line.
This comes after a stellar high school career which saw Kramer lead the Thunder this past season to a perfect 24-0 mark and a spot in the semifinals of the state tournament after averaging 18.4 points, 4.9 assists and 4.7 steals per game.
For her career she finished with 933 points, 300 assists, and 261 steals while being named first team all-league and all-state twice.
She was also named a first team all-league volleyball selection and captured an individual state track and field title as a junior.
Kramer will look to continue her strong start to her college career as the Ravens are 11-5 on the season and 9-3 in Heart Conference play with just seven games remaining in the regular season.
