Harry Trotter

It’s been a wild, unpredictable collegiate career to say the least to this point for former Maur Hill-Mount Academy Raven Harry Trotter, but it’s those tough times that make the good times that much better.
From Fort Scott Community College, to the University of Louisville and now Kansas State University Trotter has stayed positive, worked hard and trusted what has gotten him to this point.
For Trotter it all came to fruition Saturday evening as the now K-State Wildcat plunged into the right front corner of the end zone in front of a hectic Bill Snyder Family Stadium in the first quarter giving the Cats their first touchdown in the new Chris Klieman era which sparked an eventual 49-14 season-opening victory over Nichols.
He finished the game with 52 yards on 10 carries and the one touchdown.
It hasn’t been an easy road for Trotter to get to this point, as he took the unconventional route out of high school after being under recruited despite rushing for 2,940 yards and 36 touchdowns in his career at MH-MA.
He turned down a few Division II offers and chose the route of going to Fort Scott where he was named an All-Jayhawk Conference selection his freshman season after rushing for 503 yards and eight touchdowns.
That led him to Louisville where he got to learn and take hand offs from Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Lamar Jackson.
Despite the experience gained at the Division I level at Louisville; Trotter made the decision to move back closer to home which ended with him transferring to Manhattan to put on the purple.
It’s just a start for the redshirt sophomore, who will look to add to his strong opening game as the Cats now get set to take on Bowling Green Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m. and the game can be heard live on 103.9 KNZA.
