4A Boys Regional Wrestling Results & Area State Qualifiers

The Boys 4A Regional Wrestling tournament at Holton on Saturday featured 17 total teams, six local teams, and two of the top teams in the state with Tonganoxie and Wamego. 

Tonganoxie, ranked #3 in Class 4A, captured the team title finishing the day with 230.5 points. Wamego, ranked #6 in the state, finished runner-up with 168.5 points. Santa Fe Trail, Eudora, and Hayden rounded out the top five in the team standings. 

Among our area teams, Holton finished in sixth place with 93 points. Jefferson West finished in 10th place with 55 points. Atchison finished in 11th place with 51 points. Hiawatha finished in 12th place with 37 points. Perry-Lecompton finished in 13th place with 34 points, and Nemaha Central finished in 15th place with 19 points. 

The top four wrestlers from each class qualified for the state tournament. Listed below are the local state qualifiers in 4A. Video coverage of Regional's provided by the Holton Channel, courtesy of MSC Sports. The Class 4A State Tournament will be held Feb. 27-28 in Salina. 

  • 106: Jaden Wedlow (Atchison) - 4th place 
  • 120: Nate Wiggins (Atchison) - 2nd place 
  • 126: Harry Langill (Nemaha Central) - 4th place 
  • 132: Cesar Sandavol (Holton) - 3rd place 
  • 138: Ryan Cox (Holton) - 3rd place 
  • 144: Noah Weaver (Atchison) - 3rd place 
  • 157: Corbin Mayer (Jefferson West) - 4th place 
  • 165: Chance Gray (Perry-Lecompton) - 3rd place 
  • 165: Brody Nicol (Holton) - 2nd place 
  • 215: Thayne Gross (Holton) - 4th place 
  • 215: Gabe Johnson (Hiawatha) - 2nd place 
  • 285: Osiris Unruh (Jefferson West) - REGIONAL CHAMPION
