The Nemaha Central boys golf team took home a second place finish on Tuesday afternoon at the St. Marys Invitational at Cypress Ridge. 

The Thunder were led by Layton Thomas and Colten Corby who finished second and third respectively with rounds of 74. 

Santa Fe Trail won the tournament with a score of 316 while the Thunder finished right behind with a score of 318. Santa Fe Trail had the individual champion in Brody Buessing who finished with a round of 74. 

Sabetha finished in third place with a score of 330 and had three inside the top 10. Gavin Wedel finished eighth with an 81, Dawson Moore finished ninth with an 82, and Hudson Scoby finished 10th with an 82. 

Perry-Lecompton finished in fourth place with a score of 337 and were led by recent MSC Athlete of the Week Toby Wagner who finished in fifth place with a round of 76. 

Silver Lake (343), Rossville (356), St. Marys (360), Lyndon (391), Council Grove (404), and Herington (431) rounded out the team scores.
