Holton Track Sweeps Home Meet

The Holton track teams swept their home meet on Tuesday afternoon. 

The Wildcat girls finished the meet with 154 points while Jackson Heights finished in second with 132 points, and Hiawatha in third place with 106 points. 

Holton got first place finishes from Stephanie Crawford in the 100m and 200m, Sophia Goombi in the 3200m, Rebekah Dement in the 300m hurdles, Tess Austin in the discus, Marley Gilliland in the javelin, and Alexa Warner in the pole vault. 

Jackson Heights won the 4x100m relay while Brynn Shupe and Madi Bacon finished top two in the long jump. 

Hiawatha won the 4x800m relay while getting first place finishes from Kyndall Nelson in the 400m, Pauly Rockey in the 800m and 1600m, and Tessa Jones in the triple jump. 

The Holton boys finished the day with 153 points while Jackson Heights finished in second with 143 points. Atchison and Pleasant Ridge finished behind the top two with 72 points each. 

The Wildcats got first place finishes from Kayden Gale in the 400m, Dalton Peters in the 800m and 1600m, Jacob Warner in the 3200m, Eli Hines in the discus, Colden Peak in the high jump, and they also won the 4x800m relay. 

Kyson Proffitt of Jackson Heights won both the 100m and 200m events, Sawyer Shupe won the 300m hurdles, Brody Browning won the pole vault while they also won the 4x100m relay.
