The Troy girls basketball team played their first game in 11 days on Tuesday night and they defeated Jefferson County North in NEKL play 56-29.

The Trojans (10-6, 4-1) led 20-6 after the first quarter and 35-8 at halftime. They would extend the lead out to 51-19 going into the fourth quarter which forced a running clock the rest of the game.

Harper Whetstine led Troy with 27 points and five rebounds while knocking down five three-pointers. Whetstine is currently 26 points away from becoming the career all-time leading scorer for Troy girls hoops.

Hailey Groff added 17 points for Troy while Haley Williams finished with five points and Alyson Grable contributing with four points and nine rebounds.

The Chargers (10-7, 4-2) were playing their fourth game in six days and the fatigue could've been a factor in the outcome.

The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for JCN as they were led in the game by Lucy Noll with 10 points and five rebounds. Rylee Thompson finished with five points while Carina Johnson and Karlee Porter each finished with four points.
