The Valley Heights volleyball team captured a third place finish on Saturday at the Riley County Invitational.
The Mustangs went 2-1 in pool play defeating Wichita-Independent and Chapman with a loss in between those two against host Riley County.
The Falcons would defeat Great Bend in three sets which would set them up in the third place match against Riley County with the Mustangs securing the win 25-20, 25-17.
Host Riley County was perfect in pool play with wins over Chapman, Valley Heights, and Wichita-Independent. They would then lose to Clay Center in straight sets before the loss to Valley Heights.
St. Marys would go 0-3 in pool play with losses Salina Central, Clay Center, and Great Bend before defeating Wichita-Independent 25-21, 25-21 in the seventh place match.
