The Centralia girls cross country team captured a first place finish at the Washington County meet on Thursday afternoon at Washington Golf Couse.
Centralia's top two runners on the day were Kya Franklin who finished in sixth place and Kaylee Olberding who finished in seventh place.
The Axtell girls followed in second place and they had three finish inside the top 20 with Regan Hasenkamp leading the way finishing in 10th place, Claire Buessing in 14th place, and Elaina Bergmann in 16th place.
Valley Heights and Washington County rounded out the team standings as they finished fourth and fifth place respectively.
The Axtell boys finished the day in third place behind only St. Johns and St. Marys Academy. Centralia boys finished in fourth place, Clifton-Clyde in sixth place, and Onaga in ninth place.
The Axtell boys were led by Bill Lybarger who finished in 13th place, Matt Miller finished in 25th place, and Ethan Ronnebaum in 28th place.
Notable top five finishes on the boys side are Blue Valley-Randolph's Titus Cobb finishing in second place, Clifton-Clyde's Cohen Girard in third place, and Valley Heights' Kebeb Zimmerman in fourth place.
