MSC Sports 2024 American Legion All-League Selections

The MSC Sports Radio Network have made All-League and Honorable Mention selections for the 2024 American Legion baseball season. 

Hiawatha Post 66 finished runner-up at the AA State Tournament and won the Zone 3 Tournament while Corning won the league during the regular season for a second straight year. 

2024 All-League

Catchers

Jonah Deters (Seneca) – Second on team with .412 batting average

Cooper Wischropp (Hiawatha) – .333 average, .402 OBP, .956 fielding percentage 

Infielders

Sam Dunn (Hiawatha) – .333 average, .443 OBP, 36 RBI’s, 30 runs scored, 21 stolen bases - defensively made 101 out of 110 plays at SS

Chase Frey (Sabetha) – .381 batting average w/ two triples (1.70 ERA)

Drew Gibbs (Corning) - .400 batting average, .567 OBP with 23 RBI’s

Rayce Fisher (Corning) - .380 batting average, .600 OBP with 27 RBI’s

Dustin Veach (Doniphan County) 26 games – 57 AB, .544/.698/.737, 31 H, seven doubles, two triples, 20 RBI, 38 R, 24 BB, 6 SO

Wes Anderson (Marysville) 24 games – 81 AB, .395/.456/.531, 22 singles, nine doubles, one triple

Outfielders

Ashton Rockey (Hiawatha) – .478 average, .636 OBP, 43 Hits, 32 RBI, scored 47 runs, 28 stolen bases- not one error defensively

Cooper Kramer (Seneca) – led Seneca with .474 batting average

Miles Wimberly (Corning) - .414 batting average, .564 OBP with 25 RBI’s

Pitchers

Dalton Siebenmorgan (Hiawatha) – 37 Innings pitched, 6-2 record, 22 SO & 20 BB, 3.027 ERA, 1.297 WHIP, .199 opponent batting average

Cooper Jacobsen (Hiawatha) – 35.2 Innings pitched, 5-1 record, 38 SO & 22BB, 3.729 ERA, 1.486 WHIP, 3 complete games including a 1 hitter against Iola, 3 for 3 in save opportunities

Gannon Becker (Hiawatha) – 46.1 innings pitched, 5-0 record, 42 SO & 25 BB, 3.475 ERA and 1.619 WHIP, 4 complete games

Reid McKee (Seneca) – Led team in innings pitched and second on the team with a 1.50 ERA

Cooper Eberly (Doniphan County) 1-1 record – 39.1 IP, 60 SO, 27 BB, 3.56 ERA, 1.322 WHIP, .163 BAA

Gavyn LeDuc (Marysville) 6-2 record – 49.1 IP, 44 K, 29 BB, 2.83 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, .210 BAA

2024 Honorable Mention

INF/C/P Derek Wurtz (Seneca) – Fourth on team with .385 batting average and led Seneca with 1.00 ERA.

DH Reese Gerety (Seneca) – Third on team with .400 batting average

P Weston Schultejans (Holton)

1B Drew Womack (Holton) - .367 batting average, .429 OBP, 8 doubles, 11 RBI

OF/P Will Ulrich (Sabetha) - .305 batting average, 2.91 ERA through 24 innings with 27 K’s and two saves

INF/OF Paxton Bowers (Corning) - .380 batting average, .437 OBP with 19 RBI’s

1B/P Brett Heideman (Corning) - .324 batting average, .438 OBP with 19 RBI’s

1B Ryder Davis (Doniphan County) 26 games – 64 AB, .328/.488/.469, 21 H, six doubles, 1 HR, 16 RBI, 18 R

Utility Grant Haefele (Marysville) 35 games – 103 AB, .320/.467/.379, 28 singles, four doubles, one triple, stole 28 of 30 bases

3B Carter Olson (Marysville) 26 games – 75 AB, .360/.505/.440, 21 singles, six doubles
