The 2022 Legion Baseball season wrapped up a little over a week ago with Hiawatha making it to the State Tournament Semi-Finals. 

It was a big season for Hiawatha as they posted a winning season and made the State Tournament for the first time since 2006. 

Doniphan County was the best team during the regular season with the best record. They finished 28-6 and was the most consistent team during the regular season. 

Corning, Sabetha, Seneca, Oskaloosa, and Marysville all had players deserving for the All-League team and it provided some of the best Legion competition in the State in 2022.

Trent Spiker (Doniphan County) .533 batting average, 7 HRs, 34 RBIs, 30 Rs, 18 BBs, 11.0 IP, 1 ER, 14 SOs, 0.636 ERA

Kole Franken (Doniphan County) .442 batting average, 9 doubles, 3 HRs, 31 RBIs, 30 Rs. 

Kobe Davis (Doniphan County) .400 batting average, 4 doubles, 2 HRs, 29 RBIs, 36.1 IP, 15 ER, 2.89 ERA, 45 SOs.

Preston Christenson (Doniphan County) .338 batting average, 5 doubles, 2 HRs, 29 RBIs, 29 BBs, 30.1 IP, 7 ER, 1.61 ERA, 43 SOs. 

INF Xavier Oldham (Hiawatha) -  .525 league batting average, season batting average of .479 which includes the four state games, 29 singles, 4 doubles, 2 triples, and 22 RBIs. 

P/INF Joel Bryan (Hiawatha) - 3-4 record, 2.09 ERA ---11 Earned runs 10 came in the state tournament, 43Ks, 12BB, .388 batting average, 21 Singles, 3 doubles, and 2 triples. 

P/CF Ashton Rockey (Hiawatha) 4-2 record, 2.965 ERA, 23Ks, 16BB, .313 batting average, 21 singles, 4 doubles, and 1 HR. 

P/OF Carson Bredemeier (Hiawatha) 1-3 record, 2.362 ERA, .422 batting average, 23 Singles, and 4 doubles. 

C/UTL Tyler Willich (Hiawatha) .989 fielding percentage , 1 error out of 89 chances as a catcher, pitching stats 3-1 record, 2.33 ERA, 6Ks, 4BBs - batting average .214, and 14 HBP. 

SS Ben Kirkland (Marysville) .531 batting average, .642 on-base percentage, 33 stolen bases. 

RF Tregan Graff (Marysville) .552 batting average, .552 on-base percentage, 30 stolen bases, 1 error in the field all season. 

1B/P Connor Halbert (Marysville) .400 batting average, .484 on-base percentage, 8 stolen bases, 3.30 ERA.

P/1B Christian McAfee (Sabetha) .389 batting average, 1.029 OPS, 21 RBIs, 26.1 IP, 34 SOs, 2.39 ERA. 

C Josh Herrmann (Sabetha) .400 batting average, 1.024 OPS, 20 Rs (only struck out twice all season).
