Sabetha Golf Wins Home Invitational

The high school golf season continued Monday afternoon with area teams competing at the Sabetha Invitational and it was the Sabetha Bluejays who claimed the team title.

The Jays won the meet behind three top 10 finishes led by Chad Russell who took second with an 89 while Riley Lierz was right behind in third with a 93 along with Caden Lierz who tied for fifth with a 95.

Holton finished second as a team with four guys inside of the top 12 with Parker Crouch tying for fifth with a 95 while Carson Taylor was eighth, Canon Karn 11th and Reese Holaday 12th.

Nemaha Central added a pair of top 10 finishes as Carter Lutz tied for third with a 93 while Cassidy Corby claimed ninth carding a 98.
