With their win over Grace University on Monday night, the Peru State College (PSC) Bobcat men notched their eighth win of the season.  This is the most wins in a season since the 2007-08 campaign when the team finished 8-23.

The Bobcats defeated the visiting Royals Monday 81-64 after pulling away late in the first half to lead 36-28 at halftime.  Peru State is now 8-8 on the year while Grace fell to 6-12 on the season.

Six Bobcats scored in double figures as they had a very balanced attack.  Kody Kirkpatrick finished with a game-high 15 points while Richard Oppitz added 14 points and a team high-high six rebounds. Jacob Schaben added 13 points and three boards.  Both Oppitz and Schaben had two blocks.

Also in double figures for Peru State were Nate Bohy with 11 and Derek Williams and Eric Donald each with ten.  Williams dished out a game-high four assists.

Two Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) games are up next on the Peru State schedule for the rest of the week.  On Thursday, the 'Cats will host the Ravens of Benedictine College beginning at approximately 7:30 p.m. or immediately following the women's game.  The Ravens are 2-2 in the HAAC and 10-5 overall.
