Preseason Kansas Volleyball Association – Rankings
The 2020 high school volleyball season is scheduled to begin Saturday for a few area teams and with that the Kansas Volleyball Association has released the preseason state rankings for each classification.
In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats are in the top 10 to start the year checking in ninth after reaching the state tournament a year ago while going 30-14 overall.
The Class 3A rankings also feature a pair of teams that reached the state tournament a year ago including defending state champion Royal Valley who will begin the year ranked first in the state after compiling a 36-4 record last season.
Nemaha Central joins Royal Valley in the top 10 after going 27-16 a year ago and will start the season ranked seventh in 3A.
The Class 2A rankings also feature a pair of area teams as Valley Heights will start the year ranked No. 1 in the state after going 37-6 a year ago and reaching the state tournament while Jeff County North starts the year ranked sixth following a trip to state where the Chargers finished with a 32-11 record.
