The 2020 Northeast Kansas Summer Baseball season continued Sunday with just one league team in action while Valley Falls vs. Corning and Doniphan County at Marysville were postponed.

Sabetha Sweeps Gladstone

In the only games of the day the Raptors swept Gladstone, MO in a pair of 5-inning games, 8-0 & 6-3.

In game one, Josh Herrmann picked up his first win of the season tossing all five innings striking out nine while scattering five hits.

Sabetha scored two runs in the fourth on a throwing error and then erupted for six runs in the fifth to end the game by the 8-run rule. 

Shane Frey and Darrin Funk each had 2-run singles in the frame.  Braden Argabright had two hits in the contest.

Kaden Dillon also picked up his first win of the season in game two by pitching three innings giving up three runs. 

Sabetha scored 3 runs in the first as Marcus Bauman led off with a single and advanced to third on a Shane Frey double before Bauman scored on a Braden Argabright sac fly. 

After Frey scored on a wild pitch, Darrin Funk and Cooper Bradbury delivered back-to-back doubles. 

Gladstone tied the game in the 3rd on a Parker Hall 3-run homer, but the Raptors answered by scoring a pair of runs on an RBI groundout by Bradbury and Funk's second double of the game. 

Sabetha added a run in the 4th on a Frey single. 

Argabright pitched the final frame for the save.
