JCN Battles Back to Win Over Troy
By Tom Kautz
Jefferson County North took their first lead of the game with 3:12 left to play as the Chargers got by Troy 20-8 Friday night in Winchester.

In a game marked early by great defense, Troy scored the only points of the first half on a 73 yard pass from Kipp Jasper to Joseph Parks and led 6-0 at halftime.

JCN drew to a tie early in the 3rd quarter when QB Boyd Tweed went in from 5 yards out only to have the Trojans retake the lead on a safety late in the quarter.

The Chargers scored twice in the fourth.  First on a Tweed to Landon Gutschenritter 23 yard pass (Tweed to Gutschenritter for the 2 pt conversion) then on a 43 yard run by Logan Budy (conversion failed).

JCN is now 5-3, 1-2 in District while Troy goes to 2-6, 0-3.
