It was the first game since December 8th for the Onaga girls and boys on Tuesday night as they hosted Troy in a TVL double-header.

GIRLS = Onaga 38, Troy 26

The Onaga girls have won two games in a basketball season for the first time in seven years. Following more than a month without games, the Lady Buffs led from start to finish after a 17-8 first quarter. Kenzie Schwartz hit two early treys to key the Onaga run and finished with a team-high 11 points while Rebecca Krohn scored 8 of her 10 in the second half and Eva Krohn added 8 points. The Onaga girls improved to 2-3 on the season and snapped a 26-game TVL losing streak since beating Troy in February of 2018.

Troy just struggled to score as they missed 50 total shots including going just 1-24 from three-point-land. Paityn Engemann had 11 points before the Trojans dropped to 2-4 overall in their second game back from the holiday break.

BOYS = Troy 51, Onaga 17

Troy scored 18 straight points to cap an 18-2 second quarter and never looked back. An 18-5 third period advantage forced a running clock through the entire fourth quarter.  Jerrit Norris had 10 points in the first frame and finished with 20 total while lone senior in the game, Keaton Neuman added 7 points. Troy improved to 2-3 with the victory.

Onaga had just two players score as Zac Fisher posted 10 points and Casey Myers had 7. The Buffaloes are now 1-4 on the year.
