Sacred Heart Football Plays for 7th State Title Monday Afternoon

 (KLZA) -- The Falls City Sacred Heart football team will play for the Class D-2 State Title Monday afternoon at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln at 2:45 p-m.

This is the first time the Irish have played for a title at the home of the Husker football team.   

Sacred Heart fans will sit on the West side of Memorial Stadium.  General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.  Tickets are available in the ticket office and at Gate 10.  Irish fans should enter through Gates 3 and 10.

Campus parking lots are not available during the day on Monday.  The parking garage west of the stadium, will be available for parking during the games.  All university lots around the stadium will be staffed during the games allowing only University and business permits to enter.

Handicapped parking is located on the west side of Memorial Stadium.

No umbrellas are allowed and the NSAA prohibits artificial noise makers such as thundersticks, cow bells, air horns, whistles and such at all championship events. 

There will be no school on Monday for Sacred Heart.  

Irish fans are invited to a pre-game indoor tailgate at the UNL Champions Club across the street west from Memorial Stadium.  Regardless of the outcome,  the same facility will be the location of a post-game gathering to congratulate the team and coaches on a successful season.  Snacks and refreshments will be available.
