The B&B Falcons will take flight for one more run at the State tournament in volleyball action as the school is in its final year and will look to go out on top by three-peating in Class 1A-Division II.

Falcons return to the state tournament after winning the State title the last two years, including capping off last year with the state title and finishing with a 40-5 record, tying a school record for most wins in a season. B&B looks to grab another top flight performance behind a team that brought back most the pieces from last year’s team.

B&B goes into the state tournament touting a 37-3 record and earned the number one seed in the Class 1A-Division II state competition, setting up to play Ingalls, St. John’s Tipton and Dighton in pool play, which will start Friday afternoon at Gross Memorial Coliseum at Fort Hays State University.

While the Falcons roll into the state tournament just on a four game winning streak they at one point in the season had won 26-straight matches. First place finishes in the Hiawatha and Valley Falls Invites were earned by the Falcons on the season, while taking second place in the Twin Valley League tournament, falling to Centralia in the championship match. While, B&B lost that one match to Centralia they did beat them twice earlier the season and captured the TVL regular season championship.

Stacked with a roster full of experience the B&B Falcons have been a top flight team all year and are looking to continue their success at the state tournament that they have enjoyed for years now.

It may be the final year for the school but the focus isn’t on that for the team, no it’s on just displaying another dominate performance at the State tournament and defending their two straight state titles successfully and wear the Class 1A-Division II State champs crown once again.
