Nebraska High School Football Playoffs Begin Thursday

 Be listening to SUNNY 101.3 in Falls City Thursday for Nebraska High School Football Playoff action.

We have two opening round games for you.  Join us at 1:05 p-m for the pre-game show prior to the Falls City Tigers (5-3) hosting the Wayne Blue Devils (5-4) at Jug Brown Stadium in Falls City.

Our second game will feature the #1 ranked and undefeated Falls City Sacred Heart Irish taking on the Kenesaw Blue Devils (2-6) in D-2 8-Man playoff action.  Pre-game coverage begins at 4:25 p-m with the Peru State Coaches Show.  Kickoff is at 5 p-m. 

Other games of interest in opening round playoff action will find the Johnson County Central Thunderbirds on the road to Norfolk to play 7th ranked Lutheran High Northeast in a 3 p-m game in class C-2.

Other C-2 games find Palmyra at Hartington Cedar Catholic at 2 p-m.

Weeping Water at Archbishop Bergan at 6:30 p-m;  Louisville will host Tekamah-Herman at 7 and Elmwood-Murdock is at Centennial at 7 p-m.

In C-1 a Falls City win would mean a round two road trip to either Lincoln Christian or Milford.  They play in Lincoln at 7. Top seed Syracuse will host Raymond Central at 6:30 p-m;  Boys Town is at Ashland-Greenwood and Wilber-Clatonia is at Arlington.

In Class D-2 Lyons-Decatur Northwast will play at Meridian at 5 p-m with the winner taking on the Sacred Heart – Kenesaw winner.

Parkview Christian is at Fullerton at 4 p-m and Sterling will host Scribner-Snyder at 6 p-m.  

D-1 games of interest in the East bracket include top seed B-D-S hosting Neligh-Oakdale at 4 p-m.  Exeter-Milligan will host Hartington at 4 p-m.  Freeman will host Friend at 7 p-m in a rematch of a game won by Freeman last Thursday 46-38.
